How to say 'Yes to God' in the face of persecution

2 Timothy 1:5-14 is a plea from Paul to Timothy to not be ashamed and suffer willingly for the gospel. It is also a letter for us, which begs the question, "How do I say yes to God in the face of persecution and suffering?"

Looking at this passage we can see that Paul outlines the way to say yes to God and no to shame and how to release the right to retreat.
